Teddies

Our HeARTistry teddies are cuddly toys but so much more than that—loving, individually crafted expressions of love, comfort, and care. Designed to bring smiles and reassurance to hospital children, these colourful teddies offer a snuggly friend at a time that can feel overwhelming or uncertain. We recognize that hospitalization can be difficult, and a little friendly companion can sometimes make all the difference in a child's attitude. It is for this reason that each teddy we distribute is lovingly and carefully made.

We welcome volunteers of all ages to join us in making these wonderful gifts come to life. Throughout the year, we hold sessions for volunteers where members of the local community can come along and help us make teddies using simple items like socks, buttons, and fabric. These are an excellent and fulfilling way to volunteer, so don't worry if you are inexperienced or have no sewing skills—our staff will guide you through each step of the way! Whether you create a teddy from scratch or help with assembly, your efforts and time go directly into making a child smile.

For those who are not able to attend our sessions in person, we also appreciate teddy donations—whether homemade from home or store-bought. All teddy donations that come in are thoroughly inspected to ensure they are clean, safe, and hospital-ready before being packaged up and sent to our sponsored children's hospitals.

Every teddy we give away is a small act of kindness that's intended to bring comfort, friendship, and warmth to that child who needs it most. By joining us, you're helping us spread love, hug for hug.
